It's bruschetta season again! Looking for the cheapest crusty delicious bread in the city! Where do you go??

And while we're at it... any delicious bakeries for pastry deals?

My favorites so far:

- $1 flaky addictive cinnamon rolls at London Fog Cafe, south off of Macleod Trail
[London Fog Cafe, 8330 Macleod Trail South -- Calgary, AB T2H 2V2, Canada -- (403) 301-4880]

- $2 amazing chocolate madeleines at L'Epicerie

1325 1 St SE, Calgary, AB T2G 5L1, CA

Honestly the only place I can think of is Superstore. I've found some of the Ace Bakery product at 50% off -- otherwise it's just generic grocery store breads marked down.

The italian bakery sells day old products for a significant savings. Well at least thats what a shuttle bus driver told me while driving by it once.

Prairie Mill (Northland Dr) has often had a big display of day old baking. I haven't had the best of luck there, but you never know. I have however had some beautiful day old from Amandine on Centre St. N!
