Asian - Mamaroneck

I have noticed that yet another Asian fusion place is opening up on Mam'k Ave. in Mam'k, same side of the street as Sal's. I thought of y'all as i know how upset some of you get at the glut of 'em. Personally, there could never be enough Asian restaurants for me. I have my favorites at each place: sushi, sake, soup, pad thai, ma po tofu, etc.

But I can't help what goes through a restaurant owner's head when they think it's a good idea to open a restaurant where there are 3? 4? others of the same cuisine. Perhaps they think they can do it better. Why oh why won't someone open up a Vietnamese place in Westchester already??

If anyone knows anything about the new one, do tell.

I noticed it yesterday too. I didn't catch the name, just saw Asian Bistro. There are 4 -- Ginban, Haiku, Toyo, Red Plum. I agree, what would make anyone think this is a good idea?

At first I thought it was a dumb idea, but when you figure that Red Plum, Ginban, and Haiku are constantly crowded, a new place might get some of the overspill from the people who couldn't get a table at the other 3 places.
