Nature's Country Corner / Manteca - stop for the fruit and pie!
First tip about this /Produce Stand came from someone in Oakdale at the H-B Saloon where we had great juicy ripe tomatoes with lunch. He said that they got their tomatoes from the Stand on 120 and Jack Tone Rd. It's still a bit early for the best tomatoes but we got some amazing nectarines ( about $1.49 a pound ) and bought a boysenberry pie for $11.50. The pie had good berry flavor and a nice flaky crust - considering the price, a good deal. There are countless stands along the road ......any other good ones out there?
Restrooms and some picnic tables IIRC.

Isn't this place great? Posted briefly about it last fall. Couldn't resist a boysebberry pie and some great fresh almonds and pistachios.
I also like the Phillips Family Farmstand just east off 5 near Lodi (Highway 12) great pies and a wonderful garden to wander/strech legs in.
Gizdich Farms on Watsonville's east side not far from Highway 1 is a great spot too. They have apples, boysenberries and raspberries. Pie stand and fruit for sales. very family friendly.
