Where to get Prime Tri-Tip in LA/SFV?

On occasion, I've gotten this from How's but since they closed the two valley locations, was hoping there might be some other options that are reasonably priced. I've seen at Gelson's for around $25 a lb, but at that price I might as well get the Kobe at Huntington farms for $17.99.

Suggestions appreciated!

Moose...I work at a Costco meat department and we are now carrying prime tri tips on a more consistent basis. Delivery of prime beef is friday morning so Friday or saturday would be your best bet. Curently running at 7.49/lb., about 4.50/lb if you buy a cryovac of about 15 pounds.

Sometimes Costco & Hows have it, but check Harvey Guss, you must order 24 hrs in advance.

Jim's Fallbrook Meats would very likely have it.

Have you checked with Harvey's Guss? What about Vicente Foods meat department?

I've only seen Choice Tri-Tip at Costco, and it's usually been disappointing...
