Which Camillia Grill is better?
We had the pleasure of dining at Camillia Grill in the FQ a few months back & were just wondering if we should venture down to the original one in the Garden District.

They are both great........but its hard to beat the original one...you should check it out.

Do the original one, as much for the streetcar ride and visiting a "historic site" at least in local culinary history!

Thanks for the advice! We will be in NOLA in October & will be bringing 4 friends who have never been, so we want to make the most of our long weekend & show off NOLA to them one meal at a time!

What do y'all recommend getting here? I ate there late one night back in March, and I wasn't impressed in the slightest, but I can't remember what I ordered either (which can't be a good sign...)

Every time I go I order the pecan waffle and ask for the Steen's cane syrup which they usually have but usually do not have in the assemblage of syrups/ordinary condiments.

I also had the pecan waffle & it was awesome! I had the fried catfish for lunch one day & that was tasty too. Hoping that the original Grill's food is just as good when we visit!

Neither of them is good, but if you're going to go to one, I suppose it's better to get out of the Quarter and head Uptown. That said, Refuel is right around the corner... it's much better and the line will be shorter. Talk about a good waffle.
