Where to buy ... FRESH lemon verbena

Looking to make Lemon Verbena Ice Cream but don't know where to get it fresh. If I can get it at one of the markets on Washington Avenue but it goes by another name, please let me know.

Many thanks!

Thanks all, will keep you posted.

@gardens4me: I would like to do some container gardening with it but fear the opportunity to do so this year has passed. (You correctly surmised I am in the city, though in South Philly so I have some room).

Might check the Sunday Market at Headhouse. I think I remember early in the season someone was selling plants of it (not the regular plant people) so maybe they'll have it to sell.

I have not been to the Reading Terminal Market lately but there used to be an organic fair food farmstand. They carried many varieties of fresh organic herbs and microgreens. I am sure that they can get lemon verbena. Good luck and enjoy!

I haven't seen Lemon Verbena there but you are right - if you ask my guess is they can get it

Don't know it by any other name. You could probably grow it on a windowsill or any small CC backyard. Out in the burbs where I am, it is hardy and frankly, can be invasive.
