Tra Di Noi or Emilia's? Best cake bakery on Arthur Ave?

I live on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, and have fallen in love with Arthur Ave.! Teitel Brothers, Casa di Mozzarella and Borgatti's are making me forget about my longings for DiPaola (sorry Luigi and Salvatore).
For my husband's birthday Saturday night -- Tra di Noi or Emilia's (didn't like Roberto's, sorry)?
I'd like to bring my own cake for dessert -- who has the best Italian Cheesecake or Strawberry Shortcake? (I will do De Lillo if that is the consensus, but was not impressed with their capuccino a month ago, and took that as a bad sign.)
Thanks so much for your help!

The best cakes are from Artuso Pastry on E. 187th St., 718-367-2515. Call in the morning and ask for Joey.

Thanks, JohnAM. Had a luscious fresh strawberry, yellow cake and whipped cream birthday cake specially made at Artuso's and it was delicious! I appreciate your help.
Also, we ate at Tra di Noi. The food was good and fresh but certainly not amazing. $11.95 for an iceberg lettuce salad is a turn off, even for two people. Fried calamari appetizer very skimpy at $12.95. And beware -- the blackboard specials are much higher priced than the regular menu, and if you don't ask, you will surprised as I was to find the simply grilled fish (nicely done) was $25.95. We had a lovely time, the service was nice, but I doubt we will return.
Thrilled by the ravioli we purchased for the next night's dinner at Borgatti's, as well as the Teitel Bros. amazing hunk of parmesean and the sweet and delicate Casa Della Mozzarella mozzarella.
All in all, a great trip. Thanks for the help.
