Friends' Dinner in Key West

Am heading to KW for a girls' weekend in a couple of weeks. Have plenty of eating ideas, but want to choose 2 nicer but not super nice dinner spots to make reservations. We are going to be there during Hemingway Days so I'm worried the non-reservations spots will be crowded. My favorite meal on my last trip was Louie's Backyard, but I think it might be a bit romantic for us at dinner, so I'm thinking we may do it for lunch instead. Where should we go? 7 Fish? Flaming Buoy? We both will eat pretty much anything as long as it's good!

Santiago's Bodega was one of our favorites last time in KW. Small plates very well prepared beer and wine. Low key atmosphere, tables out or in. Very inexpensive for KW. La Trattoria is our all time favorite Italian spot, great martinis and food, more upscale. Even more upscale - Louie's has opened an addition to their main restaurant - haven’t been there yet, but seems to be a bit more laid back. If you liked Louie’s, go back.

You can try Kelly's Caribbean Bar, Grill and Brewery. It's off the main drag, nice setting and good food. It was the original Pan Am Airlines HQ. Nice indoor or outdoor seating. Great hang out bar.

Kelly's is good for happy hour and wings - IMO. Their food is not that great. Setting is nice, though. The Grand Cafe is very good. Bagatelle is excellent for people watching. Their lobster mac and cheese was among the best we ever had.
