Sandwich Farmers Market Tuesdays 9AM-1PM

As I was driving down 6A past the village green I just happened by it quite by accident as they were starting to close down. I have to say it's the largest and most varied of any farmers market I've been to on the Cape. Probably 20 or so vendors. Several local organic farms including the Sandwich Community Farm. Westport Rivers Winery was there offering wine tasting. Their Brut bubbly is absolutely wonderful as is the Pineau de pinot, a desert wine that was outstanding. The Chardonney is fruity with a slight oak finish and not too sweet. There was the local lobster guy, a few plant nurseries with unusual plants, several bakers including Pain D'Avignon, Cape Cod Cookies and one other. There was even a purveyor of organic grass fed beef. Green Briar Jams and Jellies was there with over 25 tastings, soaps and candles, farmer's cheeses, and a quite excellent man on acoustic gutar rounded things out. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few as I had to rush through in a whirlwind after I picked up some wine.

Highly recommend.

Tip: Make a day of it and create a picnic and visit the Heritage Plantation Museum, or Sandwich Glass. Be sure to visit the Mass State Fish Hatchery right across the street. A good picnic spot itself.

He wasn't there yesterday. I have seen him, however, at the Hyannis market twice, which runs Wednesdays 2-6 PM , by the new Youth Center off Bearses Way.

Maybe I will run down there today and see since I am working at home in West Barnstable.
