Where to Buy Pre-Roasted Peking Ducks
I've heard people mention purchasing pre-roasted Peking ducks dangling in shop windows and then reheating them at home. I would very much like to try this, however a good friend of mine told me that most of the ducks you buy pre-roasted in Chinatown are not Peking Ducks, but Cantonese-style (they don't have the crispy skin).
If this is indeed the case, does anyone know of a place in Manhattan I can buy pre-roasted Pekings?
Thanks!
Perhaps, you can do take-out (or delivery, if you' live close enough) at Peking Duck House?

cantonese style roast duck should have crispy skin too - and they certainly do at chinatown, if you catch them fresh. the difference seems to be that cantonese duck is more seasoned inside, because unlike pekin style, the focus is on the whole piece of duck rather than just the skin, and it's often eaten without sauce. but in either case, if you reheat it, it's probably hard to keep the skin crispy. that's why the chinese often eat their roast duck at room temperature (if it's not fresh out from the oven)
