ISO: Roaming or Underground Supper Clubs

Hi everyone,

My husband and I are wondering if anyone knows of any roaming or underground supper clubs in the bay area? We are especially interested in those based in Marin and south Sonoma counties, but San Francisco would be fine too. East Bay may be a little too far for us (we live in Petaluma.)

And we know that a number of supper clubs are "invite only" or you have know someone who is a member to be invited, so if anyone knows of supper clubs that are "easier" to join... that's kinda what we're looking for... or is this an impossibility?

All cuisines are welcome!

Thanks so much!

Generally speaking they're illegal, so people who know about them won't post in a public forum like this. I kind of have the impression that the fad has largely died out and been replaced by carts, vendor markets, and pop-ups.

I figured as much, but worth a try. Thanks for the reply.

Agreed with Robert, for the most part. Plenty of these still exist, but the invitations tend to work so that everyone is at least a friend of a friend (so that there aren't random people showing up in someone's apartment).

This one has enough press to not really merit being "underground": http://www.missiongastroclub.org/
