Stores which sell pureed pumpkin

Do you know where I can purchase pureed pumpkin, out of season?

      This week I saw pumpkin puree at Stop & Shop, ShopRite, A&P and Pathmark; all in the baking supplies aisle...usually by the mixes. If organic is a preference, Whole Foods sells it year round in several aisles and health food stores also carry it in their canned veggie section.

      Not just for Thanksgiving anymore! Pumpkin puree works in all sorts of year round recipes.

        I've tried A&P, Kings, Pathmark and Shoprite and Whole Foods. None of them had it. I will try stop n shop. Thanks.

          surprisingly, CVS sometimes has it if you're near a location with a relatively large food selection.

            jamoka, what area of NJ are you? Maybe I can be of better assistance. My area (monmouth county) is loaded with pumpkin in a can. I bought 3 cans at ShopRite of Middletown about 4 days ago.

              I'm in Montclair, Essex County. Two weeks ago I purchased a can at Whole Foods. Now both local stores are out of it; as well as Kings, A&P, Pathmark and Shoprite.

                You might have to travel out of your immediate area if all your local stores are out. Know anyone from work, friends who live 20 mins away and can check for you at their stores. Stop & Shop and ShopRite stock year round.

                  Unfortunately, that's not true; at least not anywhere within 10-15 miles. I was at Shoprite and Stop and Shop today in West Caldwell. Its a seasonal item. Perhaps I'll order from internet.

                    A&P carries it year round; I just bought some (after buying the $%! pumpkin pie filling right next to it by mistake).

                      Boy I ran into pumpkin all day and I was looking hard because of this thread.
                      I hate to see you pay s&h for canned pumpkin online.
                      It use to be a seasonal item around here and the pumpkin shortage last year was a bother but I am literally seeing it everywhere. Sorry jamoka!
