Ice Cream Near Willow Creek - Not a Chain

Are there any "unique to MN" ice cream shops near Willow Creek 12 in Plymouth? I'm going to their screening of "The Goonies" and thought it'd be the perfect stop before the movie begins. Also, any restaurants nearby that you'd recommend? I'm not familiar with the area at all. Thanks!

I can't think of any ice cream shops that are unique.

However, if you're a fan of custard then there's some very nice things you can get. There's a chain called "Culver's" but their stuff isn't very special. There's a shoppe in Wayzata (it's very close to 101 and 394) called Adele's that's 100% fantastic. I can't tell you how great it is. It's a pretty quaint set up in the middle of a parking lot but the custard is something you'd trade a kidney for.

The Wayzata location of Adele's has closed . The store in Excelsior is still open

The Edina Creamery isn't far - across Plymouth Road from Ridgedale. The only other ice cream joints that I know of in the area are chains. DQ/Coldstone

Tea House in Plymouth literally shares a parking lot, and has very good Chinese, though I'd be interested to try the new Grand Szechuan location, also in Plymouth.
