One night in Portland...help please...
I'm flying in with a couple of buddies for the Eddie Vedder show at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. We're staying downtown and need suggestions for a casual pre-show dinner/drinks place close to the concert hall.
BONUS: We could also use ideas for post-show drinks, and breakfast the next morning.
Thanks in advance!

Well, everything is Portland is pretty casual, but depends if you're looking for something cheap. Saucebox might fit the bill well -- it's not quite what it once was, but it's solid and good drinks and if you're there during Happy Hour, good value. I personally find Departure a bit yuppie, but the food and drinks are great and the view is excellent. It's a bit more of a walk, but Clyde Common is top notch for food, drinks and atmosphere. If you're looking for something way more casual, Violetta at Director Park is really close - sorta high end hamburgers, sandwiches, salads and usually some good beers.
Post show any of those would work. Central (220 SW Ankeny - there is no sign) has excellent cocktails. If you want something simpler, Bailey's is a great tap house to sample locally brewed beer.
For breakfast, Kenny and Zuke's is great unless you're from New York, Zeus Cafe is solid and cheaper. Or you could get on the streetcar and go somewhere in the Pearl.
