Burlington/Vergennes/Montpelier>> Any Excellent New Places Since Last October(or Coming Soon?)
I scanned and searched but didn't find any discussion on this topic. Could you helpful locals fill me in on closings/openings/significant improvements or declines- since last year and/or coming in time for our mid-October trip this year? We were there and tried the new place on Church (where Smokejack's was) last Oct.; had mixed experience i think...
Thanks much for your help.

i use Open Table alot for making reservations in the wee hours- and I noticed that Vermont's own BlueBird and Cafe Provence both are on different Open Table 'best of' lists. Look forw to trying them.

Haven't been to BlueBird, but I've been to Cafe Provence a number of times. It is always good. I think the desserts and appetizers may outshine the entrees, but I have not had a bad meal there. Surprisingly, one of my favorite things at this essentially upscale French restaurant is their thin crust pizza, especially the spinach, bacon, onion and sour cream one.

Its not new, but I really like the Starry Night Cafe in Ferrisburgh, just north of Vergennes. If you haven't been I highly suggest you try it.
Another gem that is not well known outside of the local community is the Good Times Cafe in Hinesburg. Excellent pizza. They also offer a variety of different dishes - chana masala (one of my favorites), a cajun dish, and a variety of different sandwiches. Its in Hinesburg on Route 116.
In Burlington The Farm House is fairly new. I have been itching to go as I've heard good things.-----
