Healthy and Delicious Ten-ingredient Salad
What's the most delicious salad that you can make with ten ingredients from the following list?

4. Red Beans (iv) (I've been using canned for convenience, soaking them to remove salt)
5. Avocados (v)
6. Tomatoes (vi)
7. Onions (vii)
8. Strawberries (viii)
9. Wheat germ (ix)
10. Salmon (I use canned for the calcium from the bones, and because it's cheaper). (x)
Talk about the perfect bedtime snack!
I also add a little salt, pepper and olive oil =)

While the whfoods.com healthy foods list is sound reference for folks looking for a guidepost, I would be more inclined to eat foods in their whole form in one meal. In other words, your canned salmon in a lettuce wrap would be delicious, clean eating and offer some interesting crunch. Then couple that with sliced raw veggies, fresh fruit, a slice of great bread with some light dairy spread (ricotta with lemon zest comes to mind). If you want to eat healthy, clean food a salad is one way to go to pair your choices, but a combo plate can be more interesting.

I just can't see how a 10 ingredient salad (outside of multi-bean salads and the like, but that doesn't really count) can be delicious. It just seems like too many things going on and it'd be just about impossible to get a complete bite. Taking the 10 and making 2-3 dishes seems more fitting.
