Spokane and Coeur d'Alene
Heading to Spokane with my sister and her teenage daughters. Any suggestions for a cool dinner spot in Spokane and breakfast in CDA? Nothing too high end, but not a pub either. We are staying near Gonzaga University. We tend to like healthier options, local fresh ingredients if possible, but the more recommendations the better.
Wondering about the Breakfast Nook in CDA? Thanks.

For fresh, local ingredients I would suggest Sante's or Mizuna, however they are both higher end restaurants and near downtown.
Not much near Gonzaga that fits that description or is really worth eating at but here are a few suggestions
Pho Van is one of the better Pho places is Spokane
David's Pizza is one of the top 5 pizza places in Spokane
Bangkok Thai has a nice atmosphere and the food is good.
HaHa's Grill House has good Korean but is a hole in the wall type restaurant.
An Interesting and healthful dinning option would be 9th Street Bistro (a natural market deli) which has some good food but they are on the lower south hill.If you search Spokane on Chowhound you will find much more extensive lists that I have given before.
As far as CDA breakfast goes I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Garnet Cafe. Look at the reviews on Yelp and Urbanspoon and compare them to the Breakfast Nook. The breakfast nook is a good choice but for my $$$ the Garnet Cafe wins hands down,
Good Luck and let us know where you went and how you liked it.
