What a fun place! I finally had the opportunity to stop by today. Tiny storefront, everyone shimmying around everyone, both in front of and behind the counter. It wasn't what I expected. They had a large number of gourmet sandwiches - I had ham and brie on baguette with baby greens, tomato, mayo and grainy mustard (very good), but they also have lots of prepared salads and meats, baked goods, ice cream, by the pound cheeses and salumi, and some packaged gourmet foods and nuts, including frozen and soups.

But how come no one is complaining about these prices which can't be much cheaper than City Bakery??? The prepared salad prices weren't listed as far as I could see but my tiny container of roasted zuchini, english peas, and shallots set me back $3.25, and they were selling humboldt fog (my yardstick) for 22/lb, which is more than even the BH cheese store I think, and certainly more than Bristol Farms and Gelsons that sell it for $16-18.

However, despite the highway robbery, a fun place with lots of tempting options that I am looking forward to returning to.
