If you took out lomo saltado's soy sauce flavor and then added guacamole, orange cheese, sour cream and red salsa. :-D

Elmomonster's suggestion of Alertos in Fountain Valley is right on. There's an Alberto's in Wilmington (1304 W. Pacific Coast Highway), and they call them "Superfries". Not as fresh or tasty as Alertos.

They might not be officially on the menu, but I'm sure you could get some great ones at Carnitas Michaocan, up above Chinatown on North Broadway and 19th. They do a great carne asada (though I prefer the al pastor roasting on their spit -- now that would make a great dish as well) and also serve the occasional burger and fries, which are good fresh from the fryer. But what is exceptional about this place is their dark reddish-brown salsa roja (salsa negra?) -- deeply spicy, hot, complex, and utterly delicious.
