Clinton St. Baking Company or somewhere near Brooklyn Flea for breakie?

Trying to decide if we should check out Clinton St. Baking Co. or head straight into Williamsburg for breakie. We can't make it to Smorgasburg on the Sat but I'm sure there's some good options on Sunday, no?

I've heard bad things about the lineups at Clinton...

Also, it would be incredibly helpful to get some transit advice---how does one get from Water St. in the Financial District to Clinton and E. Houston or alternatively how do we get from Water St. to the heart of Williamsburg by subway?

Thanks, folks!

For advice on breakfast near the Brooklyn Flea, you need to post on the Outer Boroughs board, as your question is about Brooklyn.

If you do plan to go to Clinton St Baking Company for breakfast on a Sunday, you'll probably end up waiting a while. Possibly 2+ hours to sit down, dependent upon party size and how busy they are that day.

For transit advice, there is a trip planner on mta.info. You can also user HopStop.com or Google Maps for directions.

Thanks for the helpful advice, Kathryn. That potential 2hr wait pretty much kills it for me. Williamsburg, it is!
