Blue Crabs in the Annapolis Area

I have heard that blue crab is of abundance this year (?) and am thinking about taking some visitors to enjoy the MD tradition. We live in the metropolitan area and are wondering where best to go. Please suggest a nice place with super fresh crabs. THANK YOU!

I would go with Mike's on the South River and Harris's on Kent Narrows. Much as I used to love Cantler's, it is overrun with tourists and tourist buses. The smell of diesel fumes wafting over the deck while the buses idle in the parking lot is just so unpleasant, as are the flies swarming around the garbage bins out back. I also think the crabs come to the table fresher and less soggy out of the steamer from Mike's and Harris.
Avoid Buddy's.

Cantler's. Get there early on weekends, they do not take reservations unless a group of 10 or more.
