Manor Oktoberfest

With so few German Restaurants in NYC, I can't believe that I only just became aware of
Manor Oktoberfest located on Yellowstone Blvd in Forest Hills. I can actually reached this restaurant by subway from Continental Ave. Is anyone familiar with this restaurant. Is it new?

It replaced the despised-by-the-neighborhood Backdrafts and the short-lived over-priced steak house. If you're going by subway and foot, it's actually much shorter to get off at 67th Av and use the footbridge over the LIRR

Opened around a year and a half ago? Have only hung at the bar after work, never sat in the restaurant but have always had great bar service and the food is very good. Especially love the german potato salad and they have a chicken brat sometimes that is very good as well, as is the pork sandwich. It's a long walk from Continental, I've done it a few times, but a nice spot to gather considering that part of Forest Hills has no bars.

I've been there once. Nice place, good beer selection. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of German food, so I was not impressed by the kassler ripchen I had, but my son loved his schnitzel. It is a fun place to eat, though.
