New Year's Eve in Tuscany - Il Rosselino, Pienza?

My husband and I are planning a trip for after Christmas/NYE through Italy.
We fly into Rome, spend three nights and then pick up a rental car. We will spend 3 days driving through Tuscany and relaxing before we arrive in Florence where we will spend another 3 nights and then depart for home.
We are thinking of spending NYE in Pienza but want to make sure we can eat a delicious dinner there. I have heard Il Rosselino is superb and we are trying to call them to make sure we can make reservations. Has anyone else spent NYE in Tuscany? Any recommendations?

Il Rossellino seats 20 max and is a true mom and pop place. One of my visits Franca brought out a little wooden basket with one large porcino in it. Enzo sauted it with thyme and it was my dinner. Unforgetable.

We have heard that and are trying to call to be sure they will be open when we are there.
We are very much looking forward to this meal.
