Healthy but festive place for friends to catch up?

I'm meeting a friend of mine this Saturday. She's going to be in the FW area, and I live in Richardson. We are both willing to drive to meet especially for the right place. We are looking for a place where we can enjoy a healthy meal but also indulge in a glass or two of wine. We haven't seen each other in a while so I imagine we might be there a while.

I've thought about Cafe Express but wanted some other suggestions.

I'm honestly not sure how ethnic she likes to go with her cuisine so I can't add any more parameters to my request! Thanks for any suggestions!

Seasons 52 is in the Shops of Legacy, so it's not really a great location for either of you, but it's dang near perfect for what you're looking for.

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions!!! No matter where we end up, where we don't, will be added to the list for next time so I'm excited to have those spots to try!

You might evaluate something in Southlake or Grapevine. Wildwood Grill comes to mind; their menu is varied and they have a reasonable wine list. Also, another suggestion would be Into the Glass in Grapevine, but the space is very small and depending on your meeting time may be difficult to grab a table.

Thanks for those suggestions! I had never heard of Wildwood Grill and the menu looks great! Into the glass sounds like a fun place to taste a variety of wines without going to a vineyard.

For catching up, Into the Glass would be perfect for a leisurely time - it's a *quiet*, neighborhood wine bar. Good food, good small plates/tapas. If they have the pork sandwich on special, it's excellent. When I was reading your OP, it came to mind immediately and I was happy to see vstock referred it. I don't think Sat afternoon would be an issue at all with seating - but anywhere early evening thru -.-.- probably would be anywhere.

If you enjoy wine tastings, there's a number of wine rooms along Main Street in Grapevine. You could walk, talk and sip!

My favorite "healthy" at Into the Glass is the Tingas Tostadas. It is huge...two Tostadas with the best spicy chicken with what amounts to a huge salad on top. I usually share or ask for a half order and pair it with the soup of the day. I agree that it is a great leisurely place, but if you are meeting in the evening the small space and live music make visiting near impossible. My hubby LOVES it when they have lamb chops as the special. He pairs it with the blue cheese grits...but I wouldn't call them healthy. Very yummy.
