Vinings Bistro Cape Cod

Wanted to love it. Liked it more than love.. ..My DSM made a res at 10:30 AM asking for a romantic two top by the window at 7:30. We arrived a tad early as they gave away the last two top window seat. We waited and were given a window seat two top in the bar tucked in a corner that had no air and left me feeling claustrophobic. The window did not open. Our server was very pleasant and prompt but rough around the edges and brusque in her effort to take care of her tables. We ordered the special salad, an entree size of clams Balboa and a scallop dish. Both can be seen on their website. The salad was a miss. The spiced walnuts were inedible. IMHO they tasted too bitter/ spicy..and I do love spicy. The cranberries were mushy yuck. LOVED the gorgonzola bruchetta. My clams were very nice and garlicky. My date's scallops a miss. The sauce would have been more suited for a beef dish. It just didn't work. The green bean sides were not trimmed..I have seen this before and don't love it. The place was bustling for sure..oh, we had lovely wine by the glass. Everyone was very friendly. There is a bar with a tv. It is a popular place for sure. Give it a try and send us your review.
