I buy them through my CSA....in the regular box and as an add-on, since I can't get enough! The attached photo is of Flavorosa Pluots from 3 weeks ago... i don't have a straight Santa Rosa photo, but these might be even better!
They have a different stone fruit variety/hybrid each week. It's been white and yellow peaches the last couple of weeks. They'll have more plums in August and into the fall, including cherums, a cherry-plum hybrid that are really really good!

No, I've never seen them anywhere else -- only read about them! They're available from the few farmers who were willing to give them a try before they've been "perfected" (i.e. maximum yield, ideal appearance on the shelf, stability during transport, etc.) for commercial growing.
They have a terrific flavor, but ya know, sadly flavor is at the bottom of the priority list for most grocers and thus also growers. So, it's cool to support the farmer who is willing to give them a try. Pays off for us eaters too. :)
