what to cake to pair with brownie ice cream

Hi there I am having some colleagues over for ice cream and I was wondering what cake would go well with homemade brownie ice cream (I used the brownie recipe i found on Leite's Culinaria). it's delicious on its own! Or do you think a simple chocolate syrup should be fine with it? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Elvis cake (banana cake, chocolate chips, peanut butter frosting):

Good thinking! Oh, candied bacon would be a perfect addition to it, too.

since you have essentially a cake incorporated into the cream, i'd maybe suggest doing something that has a contrasting texture and complementary flavor... like peanut brittle or grilled peaches or maybe some crispier (maybe) macaroons... fruit is a great suggestion above... fresh raspberries... i'm having a harder time pairing in my head because the cake is already *in* the ice cream :)

Chocolate ice cream sandwich wafers filled with the brownie ice cream, with crushed candied peanuts applied to the ice cream sides served with caramel dipping sauce.

i like the cookie idea. sounds like you want to showcase the ice cream so i wouldn't do anything too elaborate to take away from the ice cream. how about tuiles and salted caramel sauce and a raspberry sauce? i don't know where you are but i just got a basket of olallieberries and made great sauce.
i don't think you need a frosted cake but that's just me. but depends on what you're going for.

I'd go with a pineapple filled cake. Vanilla frosting. Maybe balsamic vinegar as the sauce/topping? Except I would put it on the side and let people decide if they want it on the cake & ice cream. You will have a lot going on.

              Banana Walnut with carmel.

Or hazelnut torte with salted dark chocolate.

Raspberry coulis would also be nice with the ice cream and pound cake. Love the caramel idea, too. I would make it salted caramel just because that is my personal taste.

Is the ice cream itself chocolate? How about a pound cake? Chocolate sauce would be good or caramel maybe?

no the ice cream is vanilla with brownie bits in it. Yeah I was thinking about doing a caramel sauce to go with it.

I bet a raspberry sauce would be good with that, too. You could make a couple of sauces and let people choose, or add whipped cream and nuts for sundaes.

ETA: I didn't refresh before posting, so echoed the post below about raspberry.

banana cake or, banana-peanut butter cake... pumpkin walnut cake... orange polenta cake
Yum... brownie ice cream with chopped peanuts and a cherry sauce with whipped cream ... banana split sundae
