Krispy Creme Donuts
I plan to go to Montreal beginning of August and I'd like to bring my hosts a box of very-very fresh Krispy Creme. I live in Toronto, Midtown. Where should I go? Thanks for any infos.

i went to the harbord store and had 2 donuts: an apple-filled and an oreo (limited time flavour). they were fresh and excellent. it was late in the day but the display was still well stocked. quite the contrast from my last kk (a pharmacy in the usa) and the one before (gas station in toronto). one thing i noticed - they handled their product well. no crumbled crullers, no cracked glaze, no cream squishing out all over its neighbour. there's something to be said for presentation. i know we're just talking donuts but look at what tim hortons has become and you know what i mean.

No need to bring back from Montreal. There is a location at 5920 Mavis Rd
Mississauga that makes them fresh and a location at Harbord and Bathurst that brings them in every day.-----

re: TexSquared
There's on Harbord as well. They don't make them there though they just receive them.
Most business analysts laughed when the CEO blamed their troubles on Atkins and said it was an excuse that reeked of desperation. Their bigger challenges were with the 'creative' accounting and poorly thought-out aggressive expansion as well as devaluing their product by placing it everywhere, i.e convenience stores, gas stations, etc...

re: Davwud
Their cake donuts look great but are usually mediocre at best.
The originals as well as their cinnamon rolls are absolutely dreamy when hot. And just being at a location where you can see the donuts being made fresh is an incredible thing to watch and smell!
Hey, maybe the cake donuts would be great too if they were served warmish…

re: magic
I used to love their cinnamon rolls. I don't really care for their flavoured cake doughnuts, I remember tasting their banana one and it was just awful; so artificial tasting. I really want to try their lemon kreme doughnut because my favourite doughnut is the glazed kreme filled doughnut.

re: TexSquared
Correction: they used to have them in Montreal. Look it up on Google Streetview: that location in Montreal, like all the others, is shuttered.
Since they have such a long drive, I agree with the above poster that the location at Harbord and Bathurst is good enough... just know they don't actually make the donuts there. They're made over in Mississauga (the only real location left in Canada) and then driven to the Harbord location.

re: pakmode
Yeah, there was a Tuango voucher as of February 24 ,.2011 for this location. So, unless it closed since then it is still open. Possible streetview is from prior to this location being put in??
Hmm. .Just check Google Streetview myself. I still see teh Krispy Kreme sign up and I see the drive-through order board:

I imagine best way to confirm would be to call as suggested by others.
