Leaving in two weeks for our first trip to CA's Napa and Sonoma valleys. We will spend three nights in Sonoma and two in Calistoga. In Sonoma we will be walking distance to the square. In Calistoga we are staying at Chateau de Vie. Would appreciate dinner reqs for casual dining. My husband doesn't like pretentious or stuffy restaurants even when the food is excellent. We like all kinds of ethnic food, fish and seafood, and there is little we won't try. I have searched the boards and thought that Harvest Moon and Rin's Thai in Sonoma might fit what we are looking for. Wasn't sure about Calistoga. Thanks for any help you can provide!

I highly recommend the Solage in Calistoga. Especially for breakfast/brunch. Their lemon ricotta pancakes are to die for. It's upscale but I never experienced any snotty or rude behavior from anyone there. Barolo is good too. For Mexican casual far Pacifico is a nice place to go. Another local favorite is Buster's BBQ. Very casual awesome BBQ place. Hope this helps. Have fun!
