Pie in DC?

sarahplumley Jul 5, 2011 06:22 AM

I went to three different places last weekend to find good pie. All were horrible. Is there any good pie in DC?

I have heard that the pie you can purchase at the U St market from the stand Wisked! is very good. The pie at the same market from Lois on the corner....they also sell eggs and meat...is very good. She has different kinds depending on the season and I bring her pumpkin roll to thanksgiving every year - never fails to please everyone.

I haven't tried it yet, but I have heard very positive comments about the pecan pie at Vidalia.

It is right off of 450. They make great pies & will accomodate you. ( I like having walnuts added to the great strawberry/rhubarb pie he makes)
