Foodies Anniversary Lunch with a Baby
my husband and I are celebrating our anniversary and want to go somewhere in the greater Miami for a delicious lunch. We will be celebrating with our well behaved, but stll a baby 10 month old son. We are from California and love all sorts of foods and wine. We prefer non chain restaurants. Please help with any ideas you may have.
DB Bistro is very accommodating to kids (mostly because they've got the most gracious servers in the city). I've taken my two-year old a few times. They just introduced new lunch sandwiches and you can sit in the lounge if you don't want to do the formal dining room thing.
Makoto in Bal Harbour has also been great for me and the kiddo. I've brought him to many lunch meetings there. You can sit in the courtyard by the koi fish ponds - always a baby pleaser - and order the bento box, one of the best deals in town. The chef used to work at Morimoto in Philly and the sushi and small plates are great.
Casa Tua. Went there with my then 12 month old for a semi- business lunch and it was perfect. Otherwise, anywhere along Lincoln Road would would work as they all have outdoor seating - Meat Market maybe.
