Anyone been to El Saguarito on Prince/Campbell, Tucson?

Used to love this restaurant, then it closed down inexplicably....they continued to cater events and that, but here recently, I've seen that they have reopened in the Safeway Plaza. Anyone been, and how was it? Their bean n cheese burros were fantastic, and the tacos were great also.....thanks for your comments!

I went the first week it opened the food is the same as it was when they had the restaurant on the northwest side. It's good but I've noticed that the food isnt very temperature hot, which I noticed at their old place-maybe they cook it then put it on a cold plate-my cheese was barely melted but flavors were good, unfortunetely there is alot of competition and I have places I like better.

I dont recall myself having that issue, Tucsongal, but my thing is great tasting beans, and by a long shot thus far, in Tucson anyways, El Saguarito was the place.....very tasty. I used to get a bean burro and a side of beans, lol!! Different strokes though, it's all good, may try a few other places. I'm pretty much a plain type burro person, beans, cheese, good tortilla. Boring, yes, but I'm a purist (and pickey as hell), lol

I love El Saguarita, it is known as healthy Mexican, which is unheard of, they do not use lard and everything they make is from the family old style recipes. You know when you have a craving the that specific chimi or burro it is consistanly wonderful.

Hear ya Jelly......which is something I cannot figure out....I mean, I use canola oil also when I do refried beans, but those are just damn delicious. I wish I knew how they made their beans, now I live in OC California, and the Mexican food, let alone a simple bean burro, has been a huge disappointment. Im glad that when I go to Tucson, I can go to Eegees AND El Saguarito's too now.
