Is this the same chain that exists in the States?

Thinking of Boneyard or Bonefish Grill? Either way...sounds interesting.

Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes aren't very good. Other than the gigantic slices, I never understood the attraction.

They are sickeningly sweet, almost inedible in my opinion.

Yea to be honest I have not had their cheesecake in years as the times I ate there the meals were so huge. I just remember what a wide range they offered and that many seemed very candy like. I just assumed the classic must be good though.

My true interest here lies in the BBQ and the steaks.

                Re: Cheesecake Factory cheesecake

They look good and taste ok. I've bought several slices over the years and found they're a complete waste of money. The slices are not 100% cheesecake, typically you get more filling, mousse, cake or other, than cheesecake. Their prices are insane.

It's so interesting to hear you say that. I absolutely love the Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes.

Not really that interesting, Many people on here totally share Red Dragon's thoughts on this.

I can see that many people share Red Daragon's thoughts. I just find it interesting to hear that so many people dislike the Cheesecake Factory's cheesecakes, because I personally find them to be some of the best cheesecakes that I've ever had.

BUT!!! Let's hear about the meat! Is it really possible that nobdy has dared try it?

Here's my take on this. It seems certain people are already ripping this place because they serve Cheesecake Factory products for **dessert**. For all the chain-haters, get a clue: this is NOT an outpost of the full-service CF chain in the U.S. by any stretch. And I doubt it's even an outpost of this Ohio chain: http://www.boneyardusa.com/

Avoiding a bar/grill place because of the desserts they serve is as ridiculous as avoiding a steakhouse because of who supplies their fountain drinks. Who goes to a bar/grill for their desserts anyway? Come on people....

If the OP never mentioned CF (in retrospect that was a mistake) we wouldn't be having this pointless discussion and we'd be reading about how good/bad their ribs/steaks/burgers are... For the record I've never been but I felt a need to chime in on this.

You are most likely right because not only has this been an unusually long time to wait for a report, but I am blown away that nobody took advantage of the opening day tip. Most CHers jump at such a chance. I was out of town and it was killing me!

I am hoping for some feedback now as it is a bit far for me to go blind....but yea, I may have to.

That's great they have Cheesecake Factory. However if i want that i go to covetedcakes.com. They have cupcakes now! But their price list doesn't seem to be working at the moment.

Cheesecake Factory cheesecake is disgusting in my experience. Cloyingly sweet with filler but huge portions that passes for value. Granted it's been a few years since my aunt in the states dragged us there but I can't imagine much has changed. Typical chain food where bigger is better.

Went to Boneyard on one of first days. Burger was terrific - oversized and cooked to your specification (and you didn't get a look when you said, medium rare). Finishing it was a challenge. My son had the back ribs and thought they were fine (he did mention he didn't think they were as good a Steak Pit) but he ate every last one of a very large order. I thought the sides were interesting also. Our only complaint: The service was very slow. I suspect that's a result of a place just opening up so we'll go again because it' neighborhood, it's different and if the service improves, it's worth it. Also, I suspect they'll be doing a lot of take out business because the restaurant is quite small.

Is it an authentic place, or more of a bbq-grill fusion type restaurant?

Went for dinner last night, as I really wanted to try this new "bbq" joint. Well it really isn't a bbq joint at all. Just a place that sells burgers, ribs, and chicken. The meal began with them bringing a 1/4 loaf of cheese bread to the table. While the bread looked delicious, it wasn't hot and was very average. My dining companion had the beef ribs, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the grilled chicken breast, which was 1 small breast cut in 1/2, with an over-abundance of bbq sauce. I did not enjoy it at all. I could have stayed home and made a better grilled chicken breast myself. The worst part was how over-priced this restaurant is. In their favour, however, the service was very attentive, and the staff was very sweet.
