Quick (delicious) lunch reqs neat The Met?
Hi all,
I'm a Seattle-area CH in NYC for 10+ days in mid July. Sweetie and I need a recommendation for a quick lunch near the Met, on a Thursday (if that makes a difference). Something fairly light would be good, as dinner that evening is at Cafe Boulud.
I've searched the boards, but only Square Meal came up as a rec (and a food truck, which is pretty variable, IMO). But I can't find further recs for Square Meal, and they don't post a menu, so I'm feeling a bit wary.
thanks!

Cafe Sabarsky at the Neue Gallery on 86 st & Fifth is a charming spot and has some nice sandwiches and salads. There are also some options inside the Met that might work.

Caffe Grazie, 84th & Madison. Nice Paninis and salads. Very close by.
A lot of choices further east, but it's a long walk.

Centolire at Madison and 86th is good for lunch. (But don't go in the evening.)

Via Quadronno is a good bet, about 10 blocks south of the Met on 73rd St. They specialize in panini and offer some of the best espresso drinks this side of the Atlantic. I agree with the Cafe Sabarsky suggestion as well.
