Pizzeria 22
Pizzeria 22 opened this week in the Admiral district of West Seattle. Finally! West Seattle has real pizza! Very similar to Via Tribunali, so if you have one of those in your neighborhood you might as well go there. But if you're on the West side, now you never have to leave.

OK, now that I've tried it - I'm pretty sure this was supposed to be a Via Tribunali originally - they have the same blue neon "PIZZERIA" sign as the Fremont and Georgetown VT's, and they had a sidewalk sandwich board that said "Now Open" with a cut vinyl Via Trib logo (but with the Via Tribunali text painted over.) I wonder what the story is there.
Pizza was ok - the margherita is best. Space is minuscule. I still much prefer Flying Squirrel but appreciate the neighborhood option.

Waits were approaching an hour when I tried a couple of times mid-week which was more than we could deal with (kid factor). Clearly there's a lot of pent-up demand for good Neapolitan pizza in West Seattle but an hour is crazy - I could rent a zipcar and drive over to Flying Squirrel or the Georgetown Via Trib and be eating excellent pizza in the time it would take to get seated at P22.
Looking forward to trying it if the initial craziness dies down.

Saturday at 7:30 tables were full but there were 3 or 4 seats at the bar. The bar is a little high or the stools are a little low, hopefully tables are more comfortable. It did look like take-out was an option.
