Denver Organic/Free-Range/Grass-Fed Meat

Hi,
I'm having a hard time finding a good selection of organic meats at Whole Foods and local grocery chains in Denver. (No problem finding ground buffalo meat, but not much else.)

I'm looking for the following:

Grass-fed beef
Organic pork (ideally it should be humanely raised)
Organic turkey (is there such a thing as free-range turkey?)

I'd also love to have a steady source of milk from grass-fed cows.

I don't mind going to a farm or a specialty butcher for these things - I don't often cook meat at home, but when I do, I like it to fall into these guidelines.

Silva's Highlands Homestead Beef is available at the Boulder County Farmers' Market. Grass-fed from weaning to processing.

You might check out In Season Local Market. I've been in the one in Louisville once and noted they had a selection of meats but didn't look closely so I'm not positive.

Another source is the year-round "indoor farmer's market" on Santa Fe Drive. I believe there are usually local farmers/ranchers selling there:

I can't comment specifically on the practices of any particular farm, but it's a good bet.

Have you checked w/ Marczyk Fine Foods? I believe that they sell Niman Ranch meats.

Just went there today - got some lovely Niman Ranch pork, and some rainbow carrots, among other things - very excited to get cooking with it all! Thanks!

While I'm happy to use Niman Ranch meats, you should note that they are not certified organic and the beef is finished on grain in feedlots and not grassfed. So they don't seem to meet your criteria.

Have you looked into High Plains Food Co-op? My husband and I use it and we love it for meats and vegetables.
