Maialino or The Harrison? Apples Vs. Oranges...I know but....

Trying to find the perfect combination of 'hip/fun atmosphere' on a Wednesday night.without comprimising fabulous food.
I currently have a reservation at Maialino but the Harrison has availablity (according to open table) for this coming Wednesday.
Coming from Toronto for one night....My partner and I have been to the city many, many times (first time together)....We are in our (very!) early 40's but want a place with a cool buzz and incredible food.....Most recently I've enjoyed/loved Perilla, Telepan, Degustation, SHO, Otto....
Totally open to any other suggestions (where I at least have a remote chance of getting a booking so late in the game)....Price range would be Maialine/Harrison range (or less expensive always welcome of course)....
Was also considering Public, Kitichai, Gotham.....

I've been to both within the last 6 months. Enjoyed both, but Maialino is the right pick for your "requirements". Enjoy!

We've never been to the Harrison, but I've never heard anyone refer to it as "hip."

Maialino is one of our favorites. Been there many times, and the food is always delicious. It's extremely popular and has great atmospherics, i.e., an upbeat vibe, but, again, I wouldn't describe it as hip. Since you already have a reservation (not easy to get at short notice), I would urge you to keep it.

          Enjoy Maialino!
