Foreign & Domestic updates?

Has anyone been to Foreign & Domestic lately? We loved it last time we went, but that was a year ago! I'd love to hear if they're still good. Thanks!

If you liked it a year ago, you'll likely still enjoy it now. I certainly haven't noticed any drop off or anything.

Same here. For the past year I've been roughly every 6 to 8 weeks and its been great - no change other than a different menu.

The only change I know if is that they offer Sunday brunch now. They're still high quality and inventive.

Sunday brunch me and the Sig Other today oct. 16th: I had the Veg scramble and she had the fried green tomato BLT. They open at 10 on sundays and were out of what I really wanted, the Jersey Sando, Two Eggs Over Hard, Pork Roll, American Cheese 11 bucks. So I went for the beef tongue app and the veg scramble. We sat at the bar and loved the vigorous and fun loving back and forth from the cooks. A couple too hard eggs came out for someone's dish and the chef admitted failure, and cooked a couple more. points plus. our beef tongue (7 bucks) came out and was fabulous. it was simmered 2 hr in some sort of broth, trimmed of excess fat, coated with flour, pan seared for carmelization, and served with dressed watercress and a lovely horseradish sauce. this is a highlight, fo sho. my veggie scramble was good, and loaded, with the nice corn nuggs making it, a nice fresh creme atop along with basil and parsley. good stuff. but nothing "amazing". toast was overdone. The lady's fried green tomato was lovely. it had a sweet tomato chutney, good bacon, not too tangy fried green tomatoes, honey mustard house mayo, and a fried egg. plain good bakery white bread.

A california couple next to us got the pancakes and the Fried Chicken Biscuit
Red Eye Gravy, Romaine Slaw, Lemon Marmalade and were gushing our way and jealous of the myriad austin eats. I directed them to Lockhart for an open BBQ joint prior to their flight at 8 pm out today.

Every 100th customer gets a vigorous foot massage (this is not optional) and they have a special "Beige" menu inspired by school cafeteria lunches. Otherwise, not much new.

The surprise foot massage can be a little awkward. My aunt "won" when I took her and uncle to F&D last week; my aunt is in a wheelchair. No exceptions are made.

Surely this is a joke....I'm pretty sure I'm not taking my socks off if I don't want to. that's hilarious.
