X-mas Brunch or Lunch in the French Quarter

actorsdiet Jun 29, 2011 07:20 PM

I know it's a while from now, but I'm trying to organize plans for 6 adults and one toddler for X-mas Day brunch or lunch in the French Quarter. It seems that our only options are hotel buffets that run $70-90/person, not exactly in my budget. Can someone give me a sense of some more "regular" places that may be available - more like $30-40/person?

Perhaps Domenica in the Roosevelt, which has the added bonus of the beautifully decorated lobby during Christmas.

Love your blog! I'm glad you ended up at Domenica. I don't think it gets enough love on this board. My husband would eat there each day of our trip if I let him.

Totally agree about Cochon. I don't get the hype at all.

Good for holiday lunch (or anytime really) would be the John Besh place Luke. It'll be open because it's part of the Hilton, (just outside the quarter on the Canal side) and definitely in that price range. It would probably be a good idea to make reservations as soon as they are available, your dining options are for sure limited on Xmas day! And it is certainly in that price range.
