I see that Bistro 44 has a new owner and I have always enjoyed Daniel's Bistro. I am looking for feedback on which you would try in the next few weeks.

We have been to B44 twice since Erik's departure and enjoyed each delicious meal. Service is still excellent although sadly with an all new staff. As far as Daniel's I think it is wise to avoid it in July and August as it is just to hectic. Therefore I'm recommending B44 for your next visit.

I would choose Daniel's Bistro. You might also want to consider Atlantic Bar and Grill in Seaside Park.

hey bgut -- have you been to AB&G since the end of last year? I was not impressed with the food on my two visits this year since Chef d'Ennery took over the kitchen.

On the other hand, I have not yet been up to 709 Point Beach to see how Chef Jurusz is doing with his new place.

Haven't made it over to Daniel's Bistro this year either to see whether they're holding up as well as they did last year.

Thanks for the suggestions. I hope a few more people will chime in.

nj - I haven't made it over to AB&G to see how ChefMD is doing but I hope to do so shortly. However, I have spoken to friends who have enjoyed meals there. As for Daniel's, I did make it over for dinner a few weeks ago and found the food to be on par with prior meals (which is a good thing). 709 is also on my short list to try very soon. I did stop in a few weeks ago (on my way to Spike's) and had a drink at the bar. The place was hoping that evening (1 1/2 hour wait) and it had a nice "vibe". I can tell you that the food coming out of the kitchen looked really good. I'll let you know what I think after going.
