Best DC spot for live/cooked crab to go?

thoughts beyond maine ave? camerons has decent crab (depending on time of year) and bethesda crab house is the top in terms of quality (not price)

anyone have any other gems to share?

        1. Seafood in the Buff always has a long line on weekends. On Frederick road between Gaithersburg and Germantown. Another location on Georgia Ave in Silver Spring.

              Be careful at Seafood in the Buff on Georgia. My father was faithful customer for years until a couple of years ago when he got tired of paying for a bushel of #1 males and we had repeat times with a LOT of small females (too early in the season) and a ton of claws in the bottom.

                Thanks for the warning I would stop into purchase other items besides hard shell crabs I get a decent discount at my usual spots

                  It has been a few years since I've been, but they used to have a vat of absolutely delicious crab stew on Sunday's in cold weather that was an incredible bargain.
