Lunch in NYC on Saturday (Bar Room at the Modern)

I have a reservation at the Bar Room at the Modern for lunch on Saturday and I have a few questions:

1) I have heard great things about the food, but is the atmosphere nice on a Saturday for lunch? I like when restaurants are full. Also, is the food as good as advertised?

2) Depending on how I'm feeling on Saturday I would like to have another option for lunch (Something very different from the Bar Room). Any recommendations? Some place casual, but fun and busy with great food. I don't mind expensive, but don't feel like a pre-fixe lunch menu or anything ridiculously expensive. Great food and somewhat reasonably priced is my preference.

If you're looking to stay in the same area as the Bar Room, you might want to try Ma Peche (3 blocks north) for a "place casual, but fun and busy with great food". Since I've never been to Ma Peche for lunch on a Saturday, I'm not sure how busy it is, but it is definitely "casual, fun with great food". During the week Ma Peche is usually very busy at lunch.
