green tomatoes

I'm trying to make some fried green tomatoes but I'm not having any luck finding them. I've tried whole foods, giant, safeway, Yes organic and a couple of open air markets. Does anyone have any clue where?

I got some nice ones at the baltimore farmers market this past weekend.

Try a different Whole Foods. The one in Annapolis had a huge stand full of green tomatoes Saturday afternoon.

I got them at the Bloomingdale market yesterday. I've never seen them at stores before, since they're just cast-offs that fell off the vine before ripening.

Seconded - they've been at the Bloomingdale farmer's market (1st and R NW, 10-2 Sundays) for two weeks now, they should be around for another month or so.
