    oxymoron.
most restaurants at the third street promenade are paying very high rents.
the good quality fish that goes into decent sushi is expensive, even at the wholesale level.

basically what you want, is, imho, impossible to get.

you can get reasonably price sushi at Hide on sawtelle (i.e. not near the promenade).
also, for a little more money you can get a good sushi price/quality/quantity ratio at k-zo in culver city (also not near the promenade)

Sugar Fish is nearby and good, if not great, but also is not wildly expensive. I like it.

after my experiences with the sugarfish in marina del rey, i will try to avoid them at all cost.
yes, they are better than sushi mac, which imho is putrid, but certainly not a dining experience that i want to repeat.

I agree with westsidegal...I am not a fan of Sugar Fish. Supermarket sushi with restaurant prices.

Have only eaten at the Brentwood Sugar Fish. It was fine. Perhaps, the quality varies by location.

I have only been to the Marina del Rey location.
