Popup Ads...During Log In!!

I realize ads are a necessary evil for the support/operation of this site, but on more than one occasion lately (including today) as I clicked on "Log In" a pop up ad for pork pops up across the log in dialog box. This, IMO, is "above and beyond."
While I am willing to tolerate advertising cluttering much of the screen, I, for one, do not want to be inspired by pork as as I am trying to log in, and find this to be the height of annoying. Since no one else has commented on it, does this mean I am alone?
Since I don't have to "log in" here very often I have to say that this doesn't rise to the level of even mild annoyance for me. Have you seen this huge pop up lately that, when you go to Yelp more than once or twice, it badgers you trying to get you to join? Now that thing is annoying as hell.
I have Firefox set to clear all cookies when I close it out, so I have to log in most times I visit Chow. I seldom go to Yelp, but if I did, it wouldn't remember to nag me for the same reason. Yes, a "join now" nag is annoying. Seems I get one every time I go to AllRecipes.com. But an ad on top of the log in dialog, so you have to click thru it to log in is really lame.
