Habanero peppers at the greenmarket?

Hi, all - I'm looking to purchase habanero peppers at (any) greenmarket (in Manhattan). Unfortunately, none of the farmers at my usual market on 97th St. grow them (though they grow lots of other kinds of peppers). Does anyone know of a farmer that does grow them? And, if so, which day of the week they are there (presumably at USQ)? I haven't seen peppers yet alot at the greenmarket but I'm assuming they should be coming in soon if they aren't in already.

Thanks to all! I figured *somebody* must have them at USQ but I just wasn't sure as I'm not there regularly enough. So thank you - I'll be on the lookout come July and later into the season. Carrot Habanero hot sauce is up on my canning docket! :)

Silver Heights Farm at the Union Square market has habaneros (along with a wide variety of other peppers). If they don't have what you want the day you go, you can pre-order from their catalogue.

Eckerton will have them later on this summer -- I believe the season is August/September (they started coming in at the end of July last year according to Lucy's Greenmarket report). Union Square Greenmarket on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

I did, however, see some habanero peppers at Eataly a few days ago.

Ted Blew (Oak Grove) at Union Square has great habaneros but I haven't seem them yet. I think its pretty early in the season to get hot peppers (unless you want the actual plant to grow on your own). If I recall correctly, they usually show up in late July.

You can buy pepper plants in the greenmarket- I bought some this past week, but they will still be quite small.
