Need a good food and solid vibe lunch spot

Coming to D.C for the day and need a casual fun restaurant for 2 adults. American, mexican preferably outside seating.

      It would be helpful to know your price range, when you are coming in to town and where you will be. But a few of my favorite places with outdoor seating that are open for lunch are Poste, Tabard Inn, Cafe St. Ex, and Hank's Oyster Bar.

        I second Hank's, but would also add CF Folks (order from the specials only).

          Hank's isn't open for lunch during the week. Lots of places aren't; make sure you check the hours of wherever you decide to go.

        You don't specify where or when, so I'll throw Standard into the mix if it's over a weekend. REALLY casual.

          I second The Standard, if outdoor seating is important. I wrote about it here:
