Italian Birthday Dinner

Hi, my best friend and I will be spending two nights in San Fran before heading off to Sonoma for a few days. We'll be celebrating her birthday on a Friday night in July in San Francisco and I'm trying to figre out where to take her! She loves Italian food. Something not too pricey, but great ambience and somewhat trendy would be terrific. We're staying near Union Square but I guess we could cab it if we couldn't walk to the restaurant. Thanks for your recommendations!

  1. I would try Cotogna, seems to fit your criteria in every way... I say try because getting a reservation there can be pretty tough.
