I keep discovering more options for Boyfriend's B'day & my 19 year old son & his 19 year old daughter.

I'll go with Locanda Verde for having the more celebratory ambiance than Peasant.

I don't know Dressler and if I can presume that you meant The Grocery in Brooklyn, then you may not get enough responses here about it since this is the Manhattan Board. If you want a similar American-type menu, then you should consider The Dutch (by the same team at Locanda Verde). I really liked our dinner there last Friday, plus the service was close to excellent.

Thanks for the quick responses! I've actually decided on Dressler- I've spoken to a lot of people that have gone there and love it. I can only get 9:30 res. at Locanda Verde so we'll try that another night.

While I do really like Peasant, Locanda Verde is a more ambitious restaurant and I think the food is slightly better as well. More appropriate for a birthday, for sure. Haven't dined at the other two.
