A tiki party sounds like a great idea! I am planning a Cuban party this week and I was thinking my next one might be Jamaican.....now I am thinking Tiki would be fun too!

Having no idea what you might serve, I googled it. I found this. If nothing else it will start generating ideas and then you can go to epicurious to find other recipes.

I took ideas from this website when I had my Tiki party.

Penzey's latest catalog has a recipe for Pineapple Fried Rice that looks pretty good. The lady who submitted it to Penzey's was recreating a dish from a Tiki restaurant in Japan. I don't see it on their website.

You should google "PuPu Platters" - you'll come up with the perfect mix. Also check out the Trader Vic's website for recipes for their rumaki and cheese bings and oysters. Anything 50'ish can be updated or not, as you choose...you can certainly make those things better than the originals. Have fun! Aloha Oe! Bring on the chafing dishes, flaming torches, rum and tropical juice bar!
